Pig Roast - 08/07/04
Well, here it is, upon us again.
Saturday, August 7th is the day of the 2004 Pig Roast.
Our shooting will begin around 10 - 11 a.m.
The kid's games will begin around noon.
At the time of the games, I urge ALL parents and shooters to be more watchful of ALL children.
It is imperative that the children refrain from the shooting range - irregardless of age.
The cost factor
will remain the same as it has been since the conception of this event.
All members, their spouses and and their immediate family are
free.
All adult guests 12 years of age and older are $10.00 a head.
Children 2 to 12 are $5.00 a head.
Under the age of 2 are free.
All club members need to bring a dish to pass.
If you are bringing guests, for every 5 adults, please bring an additional dish to pass.
This keeps everyone's belly happy.
Every year, I ask for the help of each and every member to make
this day a success.
There are numerous areas needing attention.
Making sure the grounds are ready; cleaning the clubhouse (kitchen, bathrooms, bar area, indoor range);
cleaning up the pavilion; stocking the skeet and trap houses; getting extra tables and chairs and setting these up; checking
the parking areas to accommodate a larger crowd; etc.
The kid's games are one of the largest areas needing help.
All club members and their spouses are urged to participate in this area.
Also, the pond needs to be monitored at all times - it only takes a minute for an accident to happen and
each one of us can prevent that.
Remember - work hours are accrued at this event.
What makes THIS event unique is that hours worked by your spouse will also be credited to your required
12 hours.
This is the ONLY event we allow this to happen.
